It's chaos here too. The roads are all closed and all you can here is sirens.

We have been advised to stay where we are and await further instructions.

It's quiet scary to think how close I am.

I've worked in London for years and there has always been a threat. Yes it is scary when you are only yards from explosions - as long as everyone is ok and EXTRA careful. Take no risks on the way home

The Head people here are discussing whether to come in tomorrow or not. We will all now later on today.

As far as I know the mainline stations are running fine. I do not use the tube so I am lucky there.

Any information I have read has been on news pages, I have not seen any new programmes.

The sirens are continuing as there are still people trapped underground in Russell Square.

Hope everyone is OK. I am on holiday today and planned to come to London to do some family history. Eddie's cab is parked in Tavistock Sq but he is safely here with me. Got family in London but all are OK.

Hope everyone gets home OK. It's horrible.

Thanks for thinking of me, but I am a long way from London (Plymouth) and I am fine. So pleased to hear that you are all safe.

Hugs from the south-west

I've made it in to work today and London is functioning. There are less people about, but I think thats understandable.

Russell Sqaure is still cordened off and you can not get close to it at all.

That's right. My husband's cab was on a rank opposite the BMA. It is inside the main circle that is cordoned off and was parked very close to the bus. It is a Metrocab and not the one you can see in pictures parked just behind the bus.

We don't know if it has been badly damaged or destroyed as forensics are still working in the area. He cannot go to London to recover it for days yet. We don't care. We are just glad he was not in it when the explosion happened.

Hope everyone is Ok and all friends and family too.

I am impressed with the way everyone behaved calmly and helped each other.

You're right, tragic events like this do tend to put things in perspective.  A few days ago at work we were all complaining about our legs being too fat/thin/short/shapeless etc, but now we're saying we're lucky to have legs at all after hearing about some of the horrific injuries.
