I didn't think she did much for her image the way she demanded first the drink of water (with a straw which was held for her while she drank) and the mic stand (which originally she said she didn't want)

Also I felt sorry for the children in the choir she had on stage with her as they didn't really have much to do, they hardly sang a thing. I would have rather listened to them than to Mariah.

I heard her say she wanted a drink but because I was there I didn't see
someone putting a straw in it etc. Out of them all I think she was my
least favourite. The crowd were not very responsive to her.

It's a joke that she sang on Live 8 when she does ridiculous things
like demanding puppies to cuddle in her dressing room or whatever crap
she's into. I wonder if the Africans get into a diva strop if they dont
get the food they need and starve to death
She was only there cos she has new songs out to promote at the moment
in the UK. They had a whole day of her 'hits' on the music channel trhe
other day, all of them were ****.

I seen her on MTV Cribs and she said her favourite place was the kitchen but she had one of those mousy looks to her, like someone who needs sectioning.

I think a better artist could have taken here place. Status Quo?

UB40 were not very good either. Think that had something to do with the songs they sang.

What do you think of this fuss about acts donating extra royalties? Razorlight are getting kicked because they said they might not be able to afford it, and I can see why, but on the other hand, they're not multi-millionaires like Paul McCartney or Bono - their next album  might flop, they could end up on the dole. How would they feel about having given away thousands then?

I think it's a very nice gesture that pink floyd decided to do that.
But it is down to personnal choice I think. Bands like U2 can afford to
donate the extra money but like you said Razorlight are not sure of
their future.

They shoud not be forced to donate or given a hard time because they don't.

Donations? Sadly i have no guns to donate to the corrupt war mongers in power in Africa. If Geldof and cronies want to buy them guns thats up to them.

Lots of poverty and homelessness here at home... and no, i dont mean bogus asylum seekers like the ones who stabbed two friends of mine in the high street a few weeks ago...

Genuine need here at home... lets sort out our own house first.

Just an opinion of course...

Apparently there were similar concerns in Philadelphia. Large chunks of the black population in the city are very poor and they weren't happy at having a massive concert staged in their city to help people thousands of miles away when they need help too.
