I didn't realise Aztec bar was a re-release when it was brought out for the millenium.

Thanks for sharing that goldencup.

This site is cheating a bit - some of pictures are modern versions of the old bars (Blue Riband for example - it wasn't made by Nestle in the 1970s).

Some of the products are still around.

Amazin Raisin never had rum in it. And the song lyrics are wrong!

Still - it was nice to see a Jamboree Bag and a Jubbly.

Thanks for that referral goldencup. I was wondering where the link was on this site.

Oldspice it's not so much cheating just really hard finding the original wrapper pics which is really what I would prefer.

Anyone out there got any original wrapper pics from the seventies I would be truly grateful.

No trouble Glamrocker, I enjoyed looking at the site in general, not just the sweets bit.

Original wrappers?  Er - no!

I enjoyed reading about the fashions. I confess to having worn skinny-rib tops, Oxford bags, cheesecloth tops, midi skirts and love beads.

Not all at once though.

Any of you 'old girls' remember wearing clogs? Cork sandles? Crochet hats (like old ladies!), smock tops?

Not the hats, but sadly I have to admit to all the rest!

I loved the cheesecloth shirts along with my corduroys but my fave thing had to be my Starsky Cardigan.

Glamrock - did you have some of those trousers with a wide waistband and about tree belts and a pocket mid-thigh?

Did you wear shirts with round collars? Did you have a matching shirt and tie in a garish pattern and colour?

Did you have a bubble perm? Did you like Sweet, T Rex, Mott The Hoople and The Rubettes?

Where did you grow up? (If at all)

Oldspice, have a look at the bit on the website about 'Why the 70's' - it's well worth reading.

I went to see 'T Rexstacy' on Monday - they were brilliant!

I didn't like T Rex in the 70s but I love some of their music now. Pity really, they're all dead.

No. Leslie Crowther's son-in-law was Phil Lonnot of Thin Lizzy. Thin Lizzy were MILES  better than T Rex. I saw Thin Lizzy live at the Reading Festival years and years ago, just before they broke up.
