Click pic to view comments - International sighting: Nestle Coffee Crisp Maple

The Nestle Summer Collection display has arrived in Canada, and this time, it's a weird set. Maple flavoured Coffee Crisp is the usual wafers surrounded by chocolate with a putrid khaki cream centre. The flavor has a bitter afterbite and while they may smell maple, the flavour combination (chocolate, coffee and maple) just is unsettling.

Maybe "Hughie" and "Ralph" will like these!

Hm, that has made me rather reluctant to try it. Ah well, I'll still probably give it a taste, as I love maple. Maybe it's just a Canadian thing. I enjoyed the vanilla and raspberry CC, myself.

Yum, I love maple flavouring - I recently got some maple syrup flavoured bagels from Sainsburys which are quite tasty

Sainsbury's pecan nut and maple syrup Danish pastries are to die for - not too good for the diet though so sadly they are a distant memory at the moment

It's the new maple Oh Henry! bar here that makes me uneasy. I love peanuts, and I love maple...somehow the thought of the two of them together just doesn't sit right with me.

Maybe the bar the reviewer purchased had gone bad from heat or humidity. I decided to buy one of these two days ago, and I wasn't the least bit disappointed! The maple taste is very subtle, and doesn't overpower the already amazing taste of the bar. As for the "putrid khaki cream centre"...yeah, there was nothing of that colour in my bar. The centre was a deep, almost rust-brown colour. Nummy-nums!

Yep, though as far as I know, this is gonna be a limited edition bar, which will have ended its run this month.  I went to a 7-Eleven in Toronto yesterday and grabbed the last three bars they had!
