Chocolate covered pretzels
« on: April 23, 2005, 04:04:56 pm »
I can't remember what they were actually called, something like flips,  but i could be completely wrong. They came covered in normal choc or dipped in white. I always used to buy them from the garage down the road late a night,  when i was fourteen of fifteen but now i cannot find them anywhere. its a shame if they have been discontinued cos they were great!

I know what you're describing and the name Flips does sound vaguely familiar.  Haven't seen them for years though.

I looked for these in Asda this morning. They had pretzels but no choc coated ones.

They were called pretzel flipz, by nestle.

I think they were discontinued in about 2000.

You can get them on sites like www.cybercandy.co.uk

But they always seem to be out of stock!!!!

I managed to get some a couple of months ago from cybercandy and they
are really tasty. A shame they were discontinued. I think they were
made by Nestle.

Maybe the sweet/savoury combo didn't do it for people. I suppose you could always buy some ordinary pretzels and a tub of chocolate sauce.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

Probably because they weren't selling well.

I seem to remember it was the saltiness of the pretzels that didn't go with the choc - for me, anyway.

Snickers are salty and they go with the choc.

I remember them. They tasted a bit strange. The white choc ones were
nice though. Couldnt they just make the pretzels less salty? Does salt
even need to be added to pretzels?
