With Tesco announcing their monster profits just wondered what supermarket people prefer for chocolate.

I do most of my shopping at the local Tesco but find Sainsburys has a much better range, mmmmm quad-choc coookies

I go to Tesco, but I was surprised at the range of Morrisons, but it varies depending on size of store.

Farmfoods deserves a mention for a huge ice cream/ice lolly range, which are easy on the pocket.

Agreed Robbie. I go to Tesco and Morrisons and Tesco just nicked my vote, but Morrisons have a pretty decent range and often have deals on CDM/Galaxy.

I find a Somerfield has a great range - not all their shops are this way however. Robbie is right about Farmfoods as well.

Sainsbury's for me - though I do divert to Asda and Somerfield from time to time.

Tesco has gone down in my estimation since I read that they buy fruit from suppliers who pay slave wages abroad. Although we have one of the biggest Tescos in the country locally, their range is not that great. Waitrose win my vote for their fair trading and their premium range.

Old but spicey!

The size of my local Tesco is what puts me off it.  It takes most of the day just to get round it and I have better things to do!

Yup, Waitrose nearly got my vote - they're the only store to sell high
quality choc (shame it's so damn expensive). I'd probably have voted
for them if I found green+blacks (something they seem to stock more of
than everyone else) remotely edible

It's Asda for me. I'm not sure if we have a Waitrose up here and I can't afford to go to Sainsburys. Our Morrisons is minging but if I go visit my mam I will go to her Morrisons because it's non-minging. Tesco was my fave for a while and I used to shop online until they started substituting half my shopping for their own brands.

I love Asda, sadly Morrisons is my local and haven't been to Asda for months.

I love Asda mainly cos of the white chocolate spread they do, plus they
sell a lot of stuff you cant find in many other supermarkets.

I wonder if supermarkets have different prices in different areas?  Where I live Waitrose is far more expensive than Sainsbury's but it does have some nice stuff for special occasions.  I think Sainsbury's own brands are the best, Somerfield and Iceland both have good BOGOF offers but overall Asda are cheapest and have a good choice (except for yogurt for some reason!)

I voted Tesco, the Tesco in Larkfield is huge and does a good selection of Lindt.

You're right about Morrison's though, they have a very good chocolate
aisle. And Waitrose is very good for high quality chocolate. It's the
only place in my area that I know sells Milka.

But overall Tesco got the vote as I visit that shop most often.
