I haven't started yet, but it's on my to-do list. I'd love to see a conclusive Hammer Dracula box set released.

Does anyone know how I can send a Zombie to my mother who lives in the River Nile?
Old but spicey!

I'm not sure if a conclusive Dracula box set could ever be released because the films are owned by different studios.

Indeed... but it has happened before with the likes of Elm St. And Superman. You never know. Though the first four are only really worth watching. Prince Of Darkness was me fave.

You seriously should watch the new Blu of Dracula: Prince of Darkness. It'll have your jaw on the floor, such is the detail. I like all the Hammer Dracula films, although they started to lose their way in the 70's. Still, if Studio Canal can put out a decent version of Satanic Rites... I'll be very happy.

Yes, it's on my birthday list this year. Nobody played Dracula like good old Chris.

Synapse have just released Hands of the Ripper in the US. I bet it's region locked!  :(

That's the trouble, really... everything I import generally is DVD and not BluRay as my machines will play multiregion DVD but not Blu. It's about time they scrapped this whole region fiasco... I know why they claimed to do it but it still never make much sense to me.

Well, the porn industry don't region lock their films!  ;) I also think it's a bad habit.

Just noticed that Hands of the Ripper could be 1.85:1. Damn Yankee aspect ratio!

It's also regarded as general fact that the porn industry, by backing BuRay. are responsible for the death of HD-DVD...much like they did with VHS and Betamax all those years ago. They are the power behind the throne.

Back when widescreen was a new thing I used to collect ONLY widescreen videos. It was a mini celebration every time I got a new one in 2.35:1, and a mini disaster I bought one in 1.85:1, or God forbid 1.77:1 (even if this was the correct aspect ratio.) When something was released in true CinemaScope it was always time to celebrate. That's one thing DVD did for this world... it got everyone watching widescreen at home, which was unthinkable just a few short years earlier.

But, HD-DVD deserved to die, because Blu Ray knocked it for six!

I have now learned that Hands of the Ripper is 1.66:1 and have turned into a happy, frothing mess!

Just finished reading The Walking Dead Compendium Vol.1. Wow... soooooo much better (and nastier... and satisfying) than the TV series. And I'm no comic book geek either. Not read a comid since Buster in the 80's.
