Yes, they have needlessly stretched the story beyond reason and yes it had a much lighter tone that LOTR... but I'll be damned if this film didn't nearly blow my head off through sheer awesomeness! Absolutely breathtaking way to spend 3 hours. Love it loved it loved it! Anyone else seen it yet?

No, but I intend to.  I'm hoping it's not as complicated as LOTR as I got totally lost during those.

No, it's a very simple story. Like I said, they have stretched it a little too think but it's just awesome. Nice to see some of the old LOTR cast back again. (Who have oddly not aged one bit for something that was shot in the late 90's.)

Not sure when I'll get around to it, only just seen Skyfall and Django is coming up too - annoying as cinema is too expensive to see all the great films that are coming out :(
