American Chocolate
« on: October 24, 2012, 06:21:30 pm »
Hi,

Sorry first post here, and it's a bit out there but I have spent my holidays in America, I say holidays but I was there the whole summer and I have become addicted to a lot of their chocolate and candy. I have bought some American chocolate from a website I found on google called I don't have any issues with their service - in fact it was second to none, but I'd like to know if there is any other cheaper reputable sites out there? just so I can keep my options open. Yes I'm tight, and I understand that I'll be paying a premium because they are imported.

Thanks in advance

I guess it depends what the actual products are, but no doubt sooner or later you'll see them on sale here anyway.

For example, Reese's cups and Hershey bars are pretty much mainstream now.  The next step is them being made here under licence (just like beer, in fact).  For me though, when that happens the product loses its appeal - it just doesn't seem authentic if it hasn't made the journey.

I remember decades ago when Ferrero Rocher balls were the height of sophistiaction.  Now they're just plain boring!

Doesn't look a very good site to me. Not much of a range and hardly any classic American bars. Prices seem reasonable though. Cybercandy is the best site for that kind of stuff but it is expensive.

Personally, I always think American chocolate smells and tastes like vomit.
Old but spicey!

We have 'American Fizz' near where I live.  Lots of genuine US products if you like that kind of thing.  But personally, I'm with Oldspice!
