sooooooo - i just spent £25 on ebay on a VIDEO TAPE of a long since forgotten xmas movie. yes, i said video TAPE. (it's an old fred astaire tv movie called The Man In The Santa Claus Suit... anyone else here seen it?) i'm now in the process of explaining to mrs.666 about the importance of nostalgia, but it just aint working! (xmas always encourages me to make stupid decisions.)

I only have one reaction to that Wham! song. HATE, HATE, HATE!!!!!!!

Today I have put up my Christmas tree, decorated the living room with pine cones, twigs and greenery and wrapped some presents to put round the tree. I am doing all this a week early this year as, tomorrow, Ofsted is coming to inspect my college and I don't know what kind of shape I will be in next weekend!

It all looks so cosy.
Old but spicey!

I'm shocked and appalled.

That said, it did make me laugh as it reminded me of Sharon's reaction to it in 'The Smoking Room'. 'So what happens? Is it about a transplant? Does the patient not survive?'

Just like every year, we're going to celebrate it in a traditional way where in we'll go in our ancestral house and have our mini-reunion there. Catch things up with our relatives, prepare foods then start the party.

I can't take to him either. I like good singers - lots of them - but he's just so incipid.
