Chocolate to America
« on: November 07, 2011, 04:23:12 pm »
I'm sending some sweets and chocolate to my friend in South Carolina. Has anyone any idea what I could send that they do not get. I hear they get Toblerone but only at Christmas .

Well chocolate is a start, they don't really get that from Hershey :P
Seriously though, they should be able to get a few Nestle and Mars products (in fact they get some superior Mars products than us) - so I'd stick with Cadburys as that's very British.
If they're keen on chocolate you could also send them some Divine, Hotel Chocolat or Montezumas.

i've sent numerous bars to my pen-friend in america for years now. her and her clans faves are Yorkie (no, really!), Double Deckers and Star Bars... none of which they get over there.

I don't know if it's still there, but the Cadbury website used to have a guide to which products you could buy in which countries, s that might help. WJP's StarBar suggestion is a good one; anything like that which is not one of the top sellers over here is even less likely to have made it to the US.

i've avoided them thus far. a few facebook buddies were raving about them the other day... they seem to like them. i'm still recovering from walkers chilli and chocolate ones a few years ago.
