Cadbury Screme Egg
« on: October 23, 2011, 02:45:56 pm »
Creme Eggs with green goo for Halloween. Good marketing idea but a missed opportunity in my eyes - imagine how nice a creme egg with mint filling would be!  :P

Exactly my thoughts Smurfy! And, in fact, there WAS a minty creme egg way back in the mists of tiem.

Oh! what I'd give for one today - and for an old Rowntrees toffee and mallow egg!

I remember minty eggs but not mint creme eggs. I know we've had this conversation before but the Mackintosh's toffee egg (not available singly, just in sets of eight) was even better than the toffee and mallow one!
Disappointed to know that the Screme egg is just a creme egg with different colouring - I was hoping for mint too.

I saw these in the Co-op this morning. I will go back and get one. They have brunch bars down to a pound so I will be getting a couple of boxes of those too

Has anyone email Caburys to suggest this idea?  there might take it on for next year.  Saying that there could do xmas version but what favour could there do for red?

Well - I think a mint egg could take them from halloween right through to Christmas.  Green is a more traditional colour at Christmas than red.

The creme eggs fooled me . I bought one thinking it was going to be mint and was disappointed.  I didnt get caught by the pepsi in green bottles though, new that wouldnt be mint.

I can confirm that the scream egg tastes exactly the same as the cream egg. You would have thought they would have mixed it up a bit!

I didn't really get any Halloween bargains - only a few packs of Haribo's at 50p each. I think it's cos I work in London - all the supermarkets round here are just for convienience
