I think when Channel 5 want to buy a show it's probably a sign that its best days are behind it.
I never got into Big Brother and eventually reached the point where I loathed it, but in the beginning I found the concept vaguely interesting. I can actually believe some of the original contestants were interested in the social experiment aspect, but over the years it lost any credibility on that score - you don't need to keep redoing the same experiment for a start - and it became all about talentless wannabes. If they do a celeb version I might take a look to see who's barmy and who looks like crap with no make-up on, but 'real' people? Nah.
