Bernie Clifton? Was he the chap who won Opportunity Knocks in about 1976? If so, I saw him in concert in Great Yarmouth that year. He was a bit lame.

Oh, actually, I think it was Bernie Flint we saw in Yarmouth.

The ostrich wasn't much help - I obviously have no idea who Bernie Clifton is.

Isn't one of the Nolans called Bernie?

She died recently.

Oh dear. How sad. Sorry.

Bernie Flint - singer - won Opportunity Knocks or something similar in the 1970s and had a No 1 hit. I think the song was called 'I don't want to put a hold on you'.

Goodness. What is with these celebrities who feel compelled to have strange relationships with stuffed, brightly coloured animals?

I've never seen this chap. However, I wish him blessed heavenly sleep.

No - he's not dead! It was Bernie Winters who started this whole 'Bernie' thing, lol. Clifton is still very much alive.

Lol. Oh dear. It's all my fault. I'm such a silly old woman these days.

Let's start again. Tom Clancey, the writer, died last week. RIP.

PAUL WALKER..

I remember him from 'The Skulls', 'She's All That' and 'The Fast and The Furious', and many others.. He was a really good actor.

I read he was killed with one if his friends, when the Porsche they were travelling to a charity event in crashed into a lamp post.

Such an awful thing to happen.

I send Blessings and Peace to all who are left to mourn them both.

Yeah, this one is quite a shocker... with lashings of awful irony. My fave film with him in was 'Into The Blue'... never was a Fast/Furious fan. What a dreadful waste.

Haven't heard of him, but saw everything in the news. Much too young to die.

Also, Lewis Collins. Never a fan of The Professionals but he was a great actor in other stuff.

Nelson Mandela...
If anyone ever deserved to rest in peace he does...

Blessings and Peace to all who mourn him, and to a world that seems less without him in it.
