Nelson Mandela...
If anyone ever deserved to rest in peace he does...

Blessings and Peace to all who mourn him, and to a world that seems less without him in it.

Absolutely. However, I'm totally sickened by hypocrites  like David Cameron, who some years ago was calling for Mandela's hanging, and who is today attempting to gain popularity via insincere comments.

I really can't put into print my feelings about Mr Cameron in general, and this is probably not the place anyway...
But on the point you mentioned, I have to say I fully agree with you.
Both of his faces seem to be on full show right now, and I truly feel that Nelson Mandela deserved better than to have the UK government's official obituary given by him.

I was really disappointed to see someone on my Facebook friend list ranting about how he'd seen more tributes to Paul Walker (who he described as 'second-rate') on FB than to Peter O'Toole. I'd never actually heard of Paul Walker before he died so can't say whether he was any good as an actor or not - but isn't it a) a bit pretentious to tell people which celebrity death matters more and b) a bit short-sighted not to realise that Walker's was the more shocking death? Of course Peter O'Toole was a great actor, but he was also 81 and had been through decades of health problems; hardly a man cut off in his prime.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

Paul Walker was an ok-ish actor... nothing special. The F&F films are abysmal in my eyes. Now I'm not one of these people to rant about which celebrity death is more shocking/important etc., but it did speak volumes about my facebook friends when EVERYONE seemed to know who Paul Walker was yet some were confusing Nelson Mandela with Morgan Freeman.

I'd never heard of Paul Walker or seen any of his films but to die at such a young age is a tragedy. Peter O-Toole was a good actor but he was very lucky to live to 81 given the amount of abuse he gave his body. RIP both though.

Yes, and Clara Oswin and Amy Pond are my Assistants and they're lesbians.  The first couple of years were the hardest!

Rest in peace Phil Everly. Wonderful, wonderful songs and harmonies that transport me back to those comfortable days of the 1960s with the radio always on in the background and mum baking and humming along.
