Sad to hear that Geoffrey Hughes, who played Twiggy in the Royle Family and a number of other memorable Tv characters, has died. He was only 68.

what does everyone think about the new Jimmy Savile revalations? i'm not saying i know one way or another, but i will say this guy gave me the creeps from an early age.

He gave mee the creeps too. I'm not sure really. It would have been much better for these people to have spoken out when he was alive - to give him a chance to defend himself, to get it properly investigated and to get some real closure, I would have thought. But then maybe they didn't want to have to see him in court and so on.

My husband is a London cab driver and he picked up Tony Scott one night. He asked my husband to take him to a good vegetarian restaurant - 'your choice' - he said. My husband obliged and was rewarded with a decent tip.

just saw that on the web, R.I.P. Neil. hoping for a nice tribute piece on Patrick's "The sky at night" prog. I'll be gutted when patrick moore goes; ive watched him for years.

and now the guy who voiced The Count in Sesame Street has passed. what a legend! he taught me so much as a kid, and has taught my daughter the same things 30 years later.
