Yes indeed.  Was intrigued to see a photo of a saxophone next to this news on our local newspaper website.  As we all know, he didn't play the saxophone on Baker Street!  (Wasn't it Bob Holness?).

Well, he indeed had cancer and unfortunately he lost the battle. One of the greatest voices in rock, he was.
