Twix Fino
« on: August 29, 2010, 11:12:42 am »
Grocery got a free sample box of these on Friday so we all got to sample them  :P Basically this is a Twix with wafer rather than biscuit; quite similar in texture to a Mars Delight, although the caramel makes it slightly heavier. I likes, I does.

It's being pushed as a lower calorie bar, the packaging claiming '94 calories per bar'. However, if you look closer you realise that's per piece, so it's actually 188 calories per pack (still around 60 less than a standard Twix).
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I don't think anyone really cares about that bit!

I saw these in a store somewhere - can't rtemember where - probably in Norwich as I was there last week. I might give them a try if they make their way to Peterborough.

Saw them in a motorway service station today but was in too much of a hurry to buy them.  More reviews please!

I've tried 'em so they'll be on site for voting/reviewing shortly. Got mine at the co-op (nowhere else had 'em).
I'm not a fan, I miss the biscuit. The wafer didn't feel substantial enough so I felt like I was munching chocolatey air :(

Just having one now with my coffee.  Really nice and light and a pleasant toffee taste. I agree with Smurfboy's comparison with Mars Delight.

I don't think they are much like Mars Delight. I like them because they are light and chewy and don't hurt my teeth like the biscuit ones do!

Why can't you buy these in supermarkets? I've looked everywhere for them but have only so far found them in the vending machine and coffee bar at work. Why aren't the big stores selling them?

Or is it just my region? Bloody useless for interesting products here!

I'm afraid it must be your region - they've got them in all the supermarkets here.
