Trip to Cybercandy

My daughter bought us some theatre tickets for Christmas and yesterday we travelled down to London for the play. We arrived a bit early so we could wander around Covent Garden and the bookshops along Charring Cross Road.

Of course, I had to visit Cybercandy for some sweets to eat during the show (we didn't actually eat them because the play was so gripping you couldn't move or make a sound). The shop was PACKED! You really could not see all they had on offer because it's a tiny shop and was full of people. i was looking for Mint Flake but didn't see any. In the end I got a large bag of Orange M&Ms and a bag of Jolly Rancher Hard Candy Red Hot Cinnamon sweets. The two products came to over £8! Still, it was a treat. The M&Ms were delicious! The cinnamon sweets were also fantastically hot!

The play, War Horse, was absolutely fantastic. Almost beyond words. I might have to start a new thread to do it justice!

I've not been in ages but last time I went I bought loads of Oreos, flake noir, mountain dew and a few other products. It's a great place, I probably should order more from them online.

Oldspice, War Horse is the best thing I've seen in years.  When my son went with his drama group they all came out in tears - and they're all 17/18 year olds!
Back to the original subject, according to my Australian sources Mint Flakes were shortlived and not popular.  I did ask her to bring some last year but she said they'd vanished from the shops.

Hi GC. Yes, it was totally fantastic. I've never seen anything like it. However, I had to watch the last two minutes from behind my husband's shoulder in case Joey was shot. There were quite few tears and sobs audible around the theatre at various times.

With no offence intended, Mint Flakes were obviously wasted on the Aussies (although, it seems, they are great fans of mint/chocolate combinations). Let us Brits get our hands on some of these alternative flavours. I mean, what can be difficult about letting us have something as innocent and harmless as Mint Flkes, Orange M&Ms, Raspberry M&Ms and Mint M&Ms? And if Raspberry Ruffles have been on sale in the Uk since before I was born, what is so difficult about giving us Cherry Ripes of even Cherry Ripe bites? I just don't get it.

Nesslte and carburys have never been big fans of trying new products out in the uk, unlike most of the Eu, where could make one bar for 8 so country the uk has its own special not so pure coco taste

Talking of Flake Noir - we got our own version - Flake Dark - which i haven't seen for at least a year. Has it gone already?

Well, if what they've done to Terry's chocolate is anything to go by, we can look forward to tasteless, waxy versions of our old favourites. I can hardly imagine what horrors Kraft might visit on Flake, Crunchie and Fry's Turkish Delight.

I think Flake Dark is dead But I did spot Flake Praline the other day - I thought that was discontinued.
