people all round here have their decs up already (and have for about a week now.) -isn't this a bit early?- when are yours going up?

Going to put ours up the weekend after next (it's my son's birthday next weekend so that's a no go).  I think any time before December is too early.

Our decs go up 18th December. Letters and cards abroad are being done this week.

For the last 2 years I have gone to the local garden centres to buy a (real) Xmas tree and they have been sold out. So this year I am going to buy my tree earlier however I'll just leave it outside - I won't decorate any earlier.

I've just had a log burner fitted and now waiting for the plasterer to come so by the time the plaster dries and i've painted and the new carpet is down that is when i will be putting my tree up. I can't wait. I will be having an artificial tree because if i have a real one my dog feels the need to cock his leg up it.

I will think about doing the home decs around the middle of the month but I'm putting them up at work today.  Sigh!

I'm looking after one of my aunt's dogs over Christmas, I hope he doesn't pee on my tree!
