I think Jamie had a poor choice of song to perform on Saturday, which left him 'vulnerable' as Simon would say. However, he was clearly the better singer in the sing off and shouldn't have gone home.  The public vote is just a lottery.  I think Stacey Solomon is head and shoulders above the rest, but if the twins win I wont be entirely surprised.

They just didn't really know what to do with Jamie Afro. He mostly performed well, but he always looked really uncomfortable during the Sunday night group performance. He seemed too old compared to the others, but not old enough to make people think 'this is his last chance, give him a shot' as I think a lot of voters did for the likes of Rowetta, Nicki Evans etc.

Jamie was also vulnerable because he sang first in the competition. By the time all the other acts had performed people forgot about Jamie.

well, in my opinion everyone was below par tonight. and it was the twins weakest performance yet (and that's saying something) - surely their time is up now?

It was a pretty bland week I thought - no one was awful, but no one really shone either. I can't see a clear winner.

I thought Stacey was awesome and yet the reviews were luke warm.  She can be my next assistant.  A little kosher cuisine would go down very well in TARDIS!

Actually, looking back on some old TOTP videos from the 70s, it makes you really just how high the standard is on X Factor.

The following clip is of a chart-topper from a group that achieved huge, if short-lived success and, to be honest, the quality of the singing AND the choreography is pitiful:

Is anyone else taking a real dislike to Dermot O'Leary? He's getting very stroppy with the judges and comes across as cocky as a result. He should remember Simon has a habit of replacing people who piss him off...
