I think the twins are appealing to the british appetite for bear baiting.  The public should not be allowed to vote.  It is spoilong the show.  Leave it to the panel.

That would probably be a better show, but it won't happen as the public vote is a huge money-spinner.

So last night - was Whitney on something or just nervous? She must still be a bit unpredictable if Clive Davis wouldn't let her do the show in her own.

I'd like to see a Stacey and Afro-boy (sorry, what's his name, is it Jamie??) final but as I haven't seen it for a few weeks I don't even know if they're still both in it!

I thought it was the weakest week yet and thought Jamie was remarkably subdued, given that the rock theme should have seen him shine.  Bizarrely, I though the twins were sort of OK.  They're entertaining at least, even if vocally inept.

Danyl should have gone last night. He sang most of his song in completely the wrong key. Of course he made the standard 'problem with the equipment, I couldn't hear the track properly' excuse but I don't buy it. He'd been rehearsing that song all week; surely he knew what key the backing track/band would be playing it in?

You're right Smurfy. I just caught the end of the show - the sing off - and he was completely flat.

With Joe being from up here our local north east news gives him a mention most nights. The other night there was an article on about a baby from Newcastle needing to go for a life saving operation in America costing £500,000 . The parents had raised £375,000 and Simon Cowell tipped up the remaining £125,000 . The presenters made some comment about Cheryl Cole having the number one single and album and i felt a lot of people would wonder why she had not donated to the cause being a fellow geordie.

I watched both shows from comfort of TARDIS lasts night and have to say, a few mixed feelings.  From the beginning I thought Lucie would be in the mix up at the end.  She seemed to have genuine talent and a sweet voice.  However, as the competition has progressed she has been found out to have a limited range and a little lack of oomph!  Shame.  Nice girl.

It was a strange twist after all that he's said, that Simon saved the twins.  I was one of their knockers early on, but have to admit they're growing on me.  We all know they're not top drawer vocally, but have an undoubted talent for showmanship, which can be nurtured and maybe with voice coaching...

I thought Stacey was OK, this week.  I think she's got one or two really big performances left in her and is my tip for the title.  Jaimie seems to have reined himself in a bit and maybe needs that big sound from the early shows.  As to the rest. Forgettable.

I don't have a particular favourite myself; haven't done since the year Leona won really. I can see Olly and Joe making it to the final. Stacey gets on my nerves and I don't think she's that amazing.

i lost all faith in simon when he didn't vote the twins out. he did this solely for ratings and controversy - and he's normally the first one to remind everybody it's a 'singing' contest. i truly believe this will annoy the x-factor fanbase in the long run, and will make people switch off. we shall see.

So, Jamie Afro, one of my favourites has gone. I hope he is able to follow a singing career despite going out of X Factor. He has lots of talent and seems modest and pleasant to me.
