Terry's All Gold used to be fantastic. I'm going back 30 years now when they used to have centres such as honey and raspberry, blackcurrant cup, cherry in fondant and so on. Nowadays, they have uninspiring centres and cheap tasting chocolate. Much the same can be said of Dairy Box. These used to be my very favourite boxed chocolates. They had a lovely, original collection of centres in delicious chocolate. Now, they are, to quote Lou, vile.
I think the real problem today is production costs. They cheapen the ingredients to offset the cost of production. I think that's pointless. Personally, I'd rather buy a more expensive box of chocolates less frequently, that endure a cheap-tasting box of tat every weekend.
