jeepers creepers started quite good - then the monster sprouted wings and it all went downhill.
jeepers creepers 2 was just relatively weak all the way through.
pitch black was highly original and fun.
riddick was a damn good sequel.

freddy got fingered and sex lives of the potato men were both appalling movies. if i HAD to watch one again - i'd probably opt for the brit one, as i hate tom green with a passion.

Ghostbusters is coming back with original cast for Ghostbuster 3!!

i've just read that it's going to be a cgi animated movie, rather than live action, with the original cast members lending their likenesses as voices. this is a bit of a disappointment if it is true.

This post reminds me of the episode of Family Guy when Chris gets a job at the local corner store and just talks movies with the guy who runs it.

@ netbuddy - Jeepers Creepers is awful, with one of the worst punchlines in horror!  It starts off well and then just declines rapidly!  I still haven't watched Pitch Black.

@wjp666 - I'm a massive fan of the first four (yes, four) Hellraiser films.  I just wish they'd release the proper cut of Hellraiser IV!  I too love anything with Price, Cushing or Lee in it, especially at the same time!

i think Hellraiser 2 was my fave (uncut version.)

Price, Lee and Cushing are gods to me! i share my birthday with Vincent, too.

i think my fave hammer horror was Dracula: Prince Of Darkness. that film was the ultimate vampire flick, in my opinion.

i used to have a very good collection of bootlegs horrors throughout the late 80's and 90's. but now they've un-banned alot of the titles i had, it sort of took the fun out of it all.

dr.terror - have you seen the other Hellraiser sequels? (the 4 that never got a proper release over here.) i've thought about importing them, but i've heard they're pretty awful.

I steered clear of anything after Hellraiser IV as I too have heard bad stuff about them.  I wonder what this reboot is going to be like.  Clive Barker reckons it's truer to the original novella, but we shall see.  In my eyes, Doug Bradley IS Pinhead!

I don't think I could ever say what my fave Hammer film is because there are so many good ones.  The climax to Dracula: Prince Of Darkness is brilliant, though.

For some reason, people seem to think porn is directly related to crime and drugs cartells???... dunno how...I watched a good film the other night....the film 'Yes Man' starring Jim Carrey....had a few good gags in there!

I have to admit that I am trying to say "Yes" to life more often these days.

I am a huge film snob much to my husband's frustration. I'll only relax and take risks (like Mama Mia) in the summer when I'm on holiday. Otherwise, if I have to spend a couple of hours on my bum watching something, it has to engage me on several levels.

I hate horror films, but I used to watch them when I was younger (and it was mainly illegal!!). Among the best I saw were The Omen (only film 1), Halloween (again, only film 1) and Rosemary's Baby.

I dislike most American films these days. I find the dialogue is often difficult to hear and understand as the actors mumble. The films seem to be plot driven rather than character driven and there is too much emphasis on special effects. Having said that, about a year ago I went to see The Director's Cut version of Blade Runner and thought it was fantastic.

My favourite American films hark manily back to the late 60s and early 70s and include:

Soldier Blue
Midnight Cowboy
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Diva

I like old English films such as:

This Happy Breed
Goodbye Mr Chips (Robert Donat as Mr Chips)
A Taste of Honey
Whistle Down The Wind

And I like most things by Mike Leigh.
Old but spicey!
