Little Britain in the USA
« on: October 13, 2008, 05:58:45 pm »
Does anyone feel that they are over-stepping the mark with some of the sketches? Some of the joke lines have been postively vile, even for a broad-minded person like me.

Having said that, I LOVE the couple who are celebrating their 40th anniversary. She's just brilliant. I've actually met people like her!

Yes, but they have a certain novelty factor for me at the moment and seem to make me laugh.
Ask me again at the end of the series.
PS: aren't American half hour shows short?!

I don't think Americans will understand the humour.

I don't think it's been done for the America's benefit! It's been done so that we can laugh at the Americans!

I haven't seen it yet - I've been so busy I haven't seen any TV for weeks.  Must find it on I Player as I usually love Little Britain.

I like them too. You see couples like that in restaurants sometimes desperately trying to convince themselves they still have some interest in each other.

I think some of the sketches are crude for the sake of crudeness, but overall I quite like the show.

I love the show and that is so true about couples in restaurants pretending they are still interested.

I'd rather play award the peasant or even pheasant than the pedant.
