Cadbury Dairy Milk Apricot Crumble

and Cranberry and Granola.
Found these today in a supermarket. I had forgotten they were coming out.
The cranberry one is quite nice but I'm not a big apricot fan. Biscuit with dried fruit.
At least it is a bit different fare than the usual from the big guns.

According to Wiki:

Granola is a breakfast food and snack food consisting of rolled oats, nuts, honey and sometimes rice, which is baked until crispy. During the baking process the mixture is stirred to maintain a loose, breakfast cereal type consistency. Dried fruit, particularly raisins or dates, are sometimes also added.

It's certainly innovative -

What's so innovative about it? They've simply added some bits of biscuit and dried fruit into standard dairy milk chocolate. The granola thing is hogwash to make it sound fancy.

I had the apricot one the other day and was unimpressed. It didn't taste especially unique in any way.

Well it's more innovative than yet another nut or truffle bar.

I found both of these in the Co-Operative (thanks Paulham!) and despite the price - £1.79 a bar - was very impressed. I prefer the texture of the crumble to the granola, but I love cranberries so it's still a winner for me; or at least it was until I fell asleep on the train using my bag as a headrest and squashed it :( My only reservation is that Cadbury tried a limited edition Cranberry Crunch a few years back and it died a death, so I'm not sure this time will be any different.

Hmmm, you either got big bars Smurfy or you paid a crazy price for a 49g bar!

The new Cadbury Dairy Milk variants should be prominently displayed at launch to increase visibility and drive purchase, and will retail at RRP £0.49 for 49g bars
