Kraft Foods is launching a new limited edition chocolate bar, Terry's Chocolate Orange Cosmic Toffee Crunch.


This adds to the Terry’s Chocolate Orange range, which is currently worth £42m and growing at 18% year on year with £2.5m media spend in 2008.

Available from 1st August, Cosmic Toffee Crunch features delicious milk chocolate, flavoured with real orange and containing toffee-flavoured crunchy pieces to deliver a delicious twist on Terry’s Chocolate Orange.

Limited Edition Terry’s Chocolate Orange Cosmic Toffee Ball was the number one new product launch in Impulse for Christmas 2007, and the new chocolate bar is expected to be equally popular.

The impactful, fun and quirky packaging also reflects the popular Limited Edition Ball, encouraging consumers to repurchase & trial, and is price-marked at 38p (RRP).

Dave McNulty, convenience sales director at Kraft Foods, said: “Limited editions of Terry’s Chocolate Orange have driven sales in recent years, adding +44% growth across the whole range at Christmas 2007. New and loyal consumers alike get excited by new products at point of purchase, and often decide to buy more than one at once.

“Toffee products are already a strong favourite in the market but this has the added appeal of Terry’s Chocolate Orange. Convenience retailers should stock up while they can, in anticipation of strong customer demand for the limited edition.”

Terry’s Chocolate Orange Cosmic Toffee Crunch bars are available in shelf ready display cases of 36.

Found one of these bad boys in my local newsagent yesterday....review to follow in the next couple of days...I can hardly contain my excitement

it was around in the speherical ball thing for a while last xmas...but now they have launched it in the bar form aswell!!

The bar has been out in Scotland for 10-12 months.

I don't think the orange oil flavour will combine well with toffee crunch pieces. I've gone right off the Chocolate Oranges and all their combinations in recent years. They're far too sweet and sickly.

Im halfway through eating this bar....I ate half last night but really didnt feel like the rest. Your correct its very sweet! More so than the honeycomb in the 'Golden Nugget Crunch' for sure....this Toffee Cosmic tastes very sweet -maybe even a tad artifical for my liking.

....will tuck away the other half after lunch
