Anyone impressed by the show they put on?

Human rights issues aside, what this nation has given to the world!

For some reason, I can't get worked up about the Olympic Games this year. I might watch the swimming if it's on when I am around. I've hardly switched the TV on all week. I've been reading.
Old but spicey!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's not interested. Even the swimming's no good since those killjoy all-in-one bodysuits came in.

You'll just have to wait for the figure skating in the winter Olympics.

I'm pleased to say the girl's gymnastics remains compulsive viewing.  I score them on pertness of bottom, shapeliness of leg and cuteness of face.  The Americans were ahead today by a thigh.

Can't say that does much for me.

Anna Pavlova won my women's contest.  20 yr old Russian.  cores out of 10. Bottom = 10, legs = 10, prettiness = 7.5

gotta say - i'm really not a very sporty person at all, but this year i'm really getting into the olympics. so far it's been great - especially the swimming events.

Bolt was amazing in the 100m final. I have to say though that he may regret not running flat out for the whole 100m. He says he came to win and wasn't bothered about the world record. If he had been he might have achieved 9.5 secs or less. Who knows what lies around the next corner? Imagine he picks up a career ending injury in the heats for the 200m!

Yeah, I saw it too. Simply amazing - Michael Johnson was suitably impressed too wasn't he :)
Have to wait and see for the 200, perhaps he'll do the same?!?! (I doubt it though)
Does anyone else feel a little twinge of national pride at just how well we're doing at the moment? - cycling has been particularly awesome - ok i know we're likely to slip down the medals tables during the track and field events but still...

Yes. The cyclists and swimmers are excellent.
I felt sorry for Kelly Sotherton. Still you can only do your best.

It's a pity poor Tom Daley was so relentlessly hyped. That kind of pressure was bound to get to a young boy.
