I always watch and I thought the standard of the songs were quite high this year.  There was some top totty, particularly Armenia, Greece and Albania.  Anyway the whole show was spoiled by the yet again outrageous voting (but even more so this year) and as Tel said, it was Russia's game simply because they have so many common borders.  I think UK's entry was genuinely poor.  It was derivative and dull. I will watch next year's show but will switch off when it comes to the voting.  The EBC need to get the show by the scruff of the neck.

Yeah voting has been a disaster recently. There doesn't seem to be any chance of the big 4 coming close to the top so why do we bother funding it? Weren't us, Germany and France all basically last?, Spain was the only one to get any points (and who the hell voted for that rubbish?).
Bring back the good old days where we used to always do well

There needs to be a radical overhaul of the voting system. Non-qualifying countries should not be allowed to vote, and 'one member, one vote' needs to be scrapped too. Why should Andorra, San Marino and Monaco, with a combined population of about 37, have the same influence as the UK, France and Germany, with a potential 210 million voters?

I will be surprised if anyone wants to be the UK entrant next year when it is obvious they will get nowhere.

Sir Terry Wogan said he may quit as the BBC's Eurovision commentator, as the UK entry sung by former X Factor finalist Andy Abraham finished in last place.

Sir Terry cast doubt on his role after saying this year's results showed it was "no longer a music contest".

surely it's not even worth watching without terry's commentary. that's the only reason i ever watch it.

At least Dima Bilan won. He might never have got over the disappointment of coming second twice, and I don't want that kind of shadow hanging over our marriage.

I liked the good old days too, but I think Leonard Sachs passed away, so they'd need a new host.

I think the Eurovision has gone exactly the way we could have expected.  It was meant to bring Europe together culturally following the war.   It was always a load of aunt fanny and for years was dominated by France, Switzerland, Spain and so on. They nearly always churned out sickly ballards or chirpy little numbers. The UK started to do better in the 60s, when they dominated the world pop scene. But now it's the turn of the Eastern Europeans - and let's face it, they learned everything they know from us - so who is surprised when they start to win? In the west, we are a long way past all that crap (well, almost) but they are just startinmg out so no wonder they all love it, vote for it and buy it.
