in watford there is a new-ish shop called Hotel Chocolat. Its like....a ten times classier Thorntons...oh boy...it sells slabs of chocolate with cocoa beans from all different places that are all a bit different, including a quite pale milk chocolate and all other kinds...and individual chocolates like earl grey ganache and lots of other exotic flavours...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm oh and did i mention its really really expensive....

Hotel Chocolat was renamed from Chocolate Express. They used to a deal with my credit card company, when I used my card I got points and I could use the points to buy chocolate  Their Easter eggs have REALLY thick chocolate shells.

It was a nice quality product but I wouldn't say it tasted any better than Thorntons.

Expensive is never good.  Dear is OK as long as it's value for money.
