You think it is Muslims who don't use deoderant?  If it was a joke, I don't find it funny.

No joke. When I was at university a class full of Asian students used to stink the room out with their sweat (again no joke). When someone enquired why they didn't wash, it was explained, in fact they did, but that deodorant was not allowed.

You don't have to be a member of a particular group to be offended by uninformed opinion.

I know you probably weren't being deliberately 'racist' but I find it hard to believe that you might think 1 billion people would choose not to use deoderant because of a religion.  Not all muslims are the Taliban.

You are the one who needs to get real

Tis funny really, because in many respects and many circles the muslims are the butt of peoples jokes and generally the worlds demons.

Bit of a shame really, there are scumbags of every religion.

I think Islam has been deliberately given a bad name by the media, who constantly feed us negative images of the religion.  Cosequently people associate Islam with nutters like Osama Bin Laden and that Twerp with the hook for a hand.  99.9% of Muslims are just the same as everyone else, except they might take their religion a little more seriously than many Christians.

It doesn't help, even in a small forum like this, to state that Muslims don't use deoderant.  I know several muslims who use it.  Whether or not it is banned by Sharia law I couldn't say.  I'll ask a mullah the next time I see one.

Now for some breakfast. q.v

In the area I live there are a lot of Muslims, some of them don't use
deodorant and some do use it. I think there are probably a lot of
English who also don't use deodorant. Infact my uncle doesn't use
deodorant.

I can get away with not using it as I have a desk job and cos I keep clean I'm as fresh as a daisy.

That's a strange simile, why daisy?  Why not as fresh as a buttercup? or as fresh as cow parsley?

Oooh There's special deodorants you
can get that actually stop sweating for a few days, they're more
expensive but of course last longer.

I shower and wash my hair every morning and shower again at night so a deodorant that works for days would be a waste.
