Internet slang

What internet slang or code annoys you the most? Do LOL and ROFL make you scream? Will you flip if you have to read TY instead of thank you again? Does OMG send you loopy?

The one I can't stand is IMO (in my opinion), or worse, IMHO (in my humble opinion). Arrghh!! Angry What an annoying and pointless expression! Of course it's your opinion; who else's opinion would you be expressing, the tea lady's? And the 'humble' thing makes me want to vomit. If you think your opinion is that humble and worthless, why bother expressing it???
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

IMO, if you don't write this sometimes, some people have been known to reply that "well, that is only your opinion", so I try to head them off at the pass. LMAO

None of it makes me annoyed. I love it all.
LOL is one of my favourite things.

I agree with Paulham. People have done that to me too, even though I think it should be obvious if you are writing it then it is your opinion.

LMAO is great and ROFLOL is good too.

It's a sign of the times, as Prince would say, and it's fun too. But of course that's just my opinion. LOL

I don't like any of it because I can't work out what's being said. However, it's all very clever.

I do get some of it creeping into students' essays now and then - especially 'u' for 'you', '2' for 'to/too' and '4' - well you know what for!!
Old but spicey!

It makes me laugh that even 'OK' is regarded as too much effort now - 'K' is sufficient!

Make a stand next time - tell them 'of course it's my f***ing opinion, you moron, who else's would it be?' You'll feel better, they'll feel silly; it's win-win.

I'm not sure I agree with it in student essays and things, and I hate it when people 'speak' in it, as a spoken language it's just stupid, and has been ever since people in the forties and fifties used to say goodbye to each other by saying TTFN.
But where it is meant to be, in text messages and on the internet I think it's just a bit of fun.

I can't agree with what some people say about it just being laziness as I often find it harder working out which abbreviations I should put than I would find it just to spell out the long words! But of course that might just be me.

I understood Bounty's post but it was very hard to read and took ages. But of course THAT could just be me too!Embarrassed

Logger what does PMPL mean? I've not heard that one I don't think.
