Walnut Whips

The Mestle ones have a smooth shiny outer chocolate wrapping. It used to be matt like a flake.
It now looks cheap.
Yes, that it Mestle.
Boy! I do write some pish at times.

No, I know what you mean Paulham.  That matt chocolate had a kind of rougher texture and now it's smooth and rather waxy. A similar thing happened to the Hazelnut Whirl in Roses selections. They used to have a rough, dry textured chocolate but now they're all waxy. I don't like that.

I'd like a cherry whip as well. I'd like a cherry fondant bar - like the Creme Egg Twister but cherry inside. or pineapple. or blackcurrant.

I have been having a heated debate with friends who didn't believe that Walnut Whips used to have a walnut inside as well as on the top - I won that argument <img src="http://www.chocolatereview.co.uk/chocforum/smileys/smiley36.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" align="absmiddle" alt="LOL" /> but now need to know when the manufacturer stopped putting the second walnut in the Walnut Whip?

I'm glad they did. I love Walnut Wips, but take the nut of the top and discard it as I can't stand nuts. If anyone can't get hold of them, try your local Pound shop, they often have boxes of three.
