You are right, walnut whips always had a walnut inside it embedded in the base of it. In my opinion M & S walnut whips are the best.   YUM  !!!!

I don't eat the walnut. i give it to my husband. That's why i like them so much more than I used to when there was a walnut inside!

Does anyone lese think the filling is different to how it used to be??

The Mestle ones have a smooth shiny outer chocolate wrapping. It used to be matt like a flake.
It now looks cheap.
