As early as possible! But I expect by the time I reach retirement age we'll all be expected to work until we drop.

Do you ever use alcohol in cooking?

Yes I gave a goose a right good stuffing the other day. I think the 5 bottles of sherry had something to do with it.
Can Gordon Brown lead the country out of the recession or must a pencil be lead?

I could do a better job than gordon.

What is the worst insult anyone ever made towards you?

I was at a bird talk in Nottingham and the speaker thought we were in Derbyshire, and kept saying stuff like, 'here in Derbyshire'.  He was nearly lynched by the audience.

If you could be in a Bond film would you be Bond, Moneypenny or the villain?

Definitely Moneypenny.

What is your favourite accent?

Hard one.  Toss up between Central Swedish around Medalpad, South Wales and very broad Scouse

If you were Prime Minister, what would be your first act?

I'd remove any remaining influence of the Christian church in politics and the legal system to make Britain a completely secular state.

Who in your opinion is/was the best post-Thatcher PM?

Hard one (again).  For his work on Northern Ireland I have to say John Major

Do you think Gordon Brown's speech has saved his bacon?

I think it's done him a lot of good, but I'm not sure one speech will save him.

What was your favourite story as a child?

Snow White.

If you were one of snow whites dwarfs (dwarves, what is the plural of dwarf?) which one would you be?

Both dwarves and dwarfs are correct but dwarfs is the commonest spelling, same with wharf.  Note that roof can only be roofs.

Probably Doc because he would get Snow White first time every day. 

What's your favourite herb?
