i'm avoiding the olympics completely. the town where i live is hosting the sailing, so it's going to be manic down here - so i think i'll just stock up like it's a nuclear holocaust and stay indoors for a month.

in your humble opinion, what's the best british sitcom ever made?

One Foot in the Grave. Incredibly funny but with a deeper edge than your average sitcom, and beautifully acted (particularly by Annette Crosby).

Obvious question but... worst?

My Family. now let me explain - i am voting this simply to counteract all the people who like it (and for some reason they are plentiful!) i mean if i really thought about it there are worse ones - like Married For Life (remember that?) or other such forgotten gems. but My Family has been around for a decade now, and it's got this huge fanbase of people who dont seem to understand how humour works. so, simply because it's the worst of it's kind to succeed, it gets my vote there it is. (and i'm sure someone reading this will now promptly stick up for it. oh well. go watch some Fawlty Towers and quit moaning.) :RANT END:

will you be watching the royal wedding? (on tv, obviously. i'm not implying anyone here is on the guest list.)

No, I will be giving it a miss, even though the NHS have given me the day off. I can think of better things to do like sex and Mass Effect 2 (but not at the same time, obviously!).

Have you ever gone to the gym?

HAHAHAHA! i think it's painfully clear to anyone who saw my facebook pictures on here a couple of years ago that i am severely allergic to gyms!

I've yet to see a single one of them all the way through.

Have you been invited to any silly Facebook events for Japan yet? Apparently next Thursday we should all be wearing red and white to show we care :/

yes, a couple of people have sent me invites. the laziest one is something like 'click and support', with the group not actually doing anything... just someone who started the group obviously wanted a lot of followers.

and now, a cutting edge topic that we've simply refused to ever discuss on this forum. (forgive me for bringing it up.) - Ribena... is it really worth paying double for this than normal juice?

Ribena, just like any other juice/cordial, is just a bottle load of fruit flavoured sugar. It's more fun to eat real fruit!

Is it more fun to eat real fruit?

I think so, yes. Ribena is great when you're a kid but I think as I've grown up I've come to appreciate the taste of proper fruit juice rather than 'fruit juice drinks'.

One of my friends has a weird thing against dried fruit - she says 'you may as well chew on an old corpse'. Given that she eats chicken (although not a lot of other meat), should I point out that she does this every day?

Yes, I think you should. I love dried fruit, especially apricots and dates.

Should they bring back Spangles?

The way I see it, the Beatles did good and bad stuff and so did Elvis, so I don't mind either, but I am also not enamoured by either. See, that buggered up that theory :-p

Who is Liz Jones' rock star boyfriend?

A metaphor and a source of irony when referring to a suspicion, conspiracy, or a cover-up of some type.

Although I did find a ruder definition....

Tesco or Aldi?
