I've always been more of a night owl, but now I'm an old 30-something (well, just 30) I'm not as into late nights as I once was.

What are the best and worst books you've read this year?

I haven't read any books this year although I did enjoy the Weight Watchers 'ready in 30 minutes' cookbook; I have made and enjoyed lots of their meals from that book this year.

What sort of house plants do you grow?

I have two pitcher plants, one venus fly trap, a dragon tree, two umbrella trees and a number of different cacti.

What's the most chocolate you've eaten in a day?

my brother won one of those HUMUNGOUS toblerones in a raffle (you don't see 'em much these days - but you'd always get them in duty free for about £40, and they were a few foot long and had pieces the size of breeze-blocks.) well, he unloaded two pieces of that one me, which i consumed out of sheer boredom. now take that into account with the one and a half slabs of xmas sized dairy milk and 2 chocolate oranges i'd already had that day, and there you have it! that was one depressing xmas. (hence all the gluttony.)

have you bought any goodies for trick-or-treaters this year?

No. We don't get any trick-or-treaters where i live.

Do you find it strange that people will let their kids knock on strangers doors and then accept sweets from them?

I find it more strange that kids think they can bang on your door and demand cash because it's Halloween.

When did you last have a cup of tea?

About an hour ago but I only have about two a day.

Have you bought any new clothes for the party season yet?  I've bought an outfit I'm not at all sure about...

Not yet. I've seen one I want but it's really slutty and I can't decide if I can pull it off or not.

What would you cook if you were on Come Dine With Me?

I like both but green for preference.  (Who remembers when you used to get an olive in the middle of a pizza and nobody ever ate it?)

What fashion do you hope will never come back?

gerry and the pacemakers, about a decade ago. (i don't get out much unless it involves the cinema.)

if your digibox broke and you were stuck with watching only one tv channel, which one would you want it to be?
