Pregnancy cravings
« on: November 04, 2007, 09:19:21 pm »
For all you mothers out there I wish to know what you craved whilst pregnant. A friend of mine is pregnant and constantly craving braised steak which I think is odd especially as she has been a vegetarian for many years. Her mother keeps telling her she must eat what the baby is telling her to.

I craved grapefruits and oranges during my first pregnancy.  I could not stand the thought, sight or idea of meat at all.  During my second pregnancy I didn't have cravings but still could not eat meat. I've never been a great meat eater anyway.

I had no cravings, no morning sickness and didn't go off anything.

My mother craved jam sandwiches when she was pregnant with me.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I've been having really strong cravings for red meat...particularly steak.  This is not something I would normally eat at all.  Maybe I'm anaemic or something?

My mum had a craving for sour apples when she was pregnant with me Confused

How lucky you were GC. I was sick for the first four or five months with both of mine.

Two miracles!  Both arrived on their due dates too.  After that of course, it was all downhill....
