Orange After Eights
« on: February 14, 2005, 11:26:47 am »

I bought a box of these at Christmas but have only just opened them. I hadn't had any since the previous Xmas, and now I'm totally confused ...

I thought the filling was a pale orange colour, but in my new box it was white, just like regular mint ones. Am I going mad or did the change it?

No. I think it's always been white.

I thought the filling was pale orange too. I remember they tasted like marmalade.

I like ginger marmalade and that lime jelly stuff, lemon curd, marmite, strawberry jam, peanut butter, philadelphia....anything on toast but no chocolate spreads or anything fishy.

I like crisp sandwiches but crisps on toast seems odd.

I have come to like choc spreads-a loaded pain au chocolat is sublime.

[Is sublemon even better?]

I find chocolate spread a bit too much. I think it's because of a French school trip I went on once when I was given chocolate sandwiches in my packed lunch - no kidding, dark chocolate sticks in a baguette. The French are not imaginative when it comes to vegetarians
