A change for the better?
« on: August 16, 2007, 02:58:34 pm »
Following the discussion on old/new Milky Ways in the old products forum, I thought it might be interesting to see if anyone has actually preferred a chocolate bar after a change in recipe. I'm not talking variations - preferring a Wispa Gold to a regular Wispa doesn't count - I mean where the product is fundamentally the same thing, but something has been changed.

I'll start - I marginally prefer 'new' Milky Way.

I like the new flavours in Starburst (that used to be Opal Fruits), epecially the blackcurrant ones.

I didn't even know they had! LOL  That's why I've always avoided them.  Must put that one right.

Sorry Lou. I know you like them. I don't mind them in Picnics and Snickers when they're combined with other stuff but on their own peanuts and chocolate just don't do it for me!

Now Oldspice, show your age. That should be a Marathon.
Snickers are for Americans and the young.

Good question Smurfy.

I can think of changes to packaging which have been an improvement but I can't think of any products which taste better after they have been changed.

Anyone who still calls it a Marathon risks looking like a loony.

"A Snickers please."
Sounds like you are buying a partly stifled laugh without a proper grasp of grammar.
I'll risk looking like a loony by saying Marathon.
Well, to be honest, I won't as I never buy that product as I don't like peanuts so I am finding my comments all rather irrelevant.
