Fry's Orange Creme
« on: August 14, 2007, 05:43:38 pm »
I'm a new member, this is my first posting/thread, and I'm already using the wrong forum!

Why isn't there a forum for "current products" as well as "old" and "new" and "discontinued"??? (Moaning already, please don't throw me out!).

OK, Fry's Orange Cremes are hard to come by here in Lancashire. Why can't you buy multipacks of them at supermarkets? You can get Fry's (or I guess I should call it Cadbury's) Chocolate Cremes in supermarkets?

It seems you have to go to petrol station shops round here to get the Orange Cremes ...

(I also find it difficult to find "Star Bars" although I know a couple of out-of-the-way shops where I can get one; again, why no multipacks?).

Maybe this is all just rhetorical. I know the reason will be down to sales and the market for multipacks of certain goods ... still, I can dream, can't I?

I suppose if certain bars are less popular they don't bother producing multipacks. That said, I think I have seen multipacks of Star Bars - they had a mini-relaunch last year so I wouldn't be surprised.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I think there's a bit of a circle here because if something is hard to find, it won't sell will it? I think supermarkets want to see a massive return for shelf space and therefore don't stock the slower sellers whereas smaller shops are happy to sell five bars a week of a certain product.

I find Dime bars and Picnics are hard to find in supermarkets, even in multi packs.  I managed to get some Dime bares in the Poundland this week though!

Fry's orange creme is quite difficult to get here and only seen in Woolworths or old sweet shops.
