First it was the premium rate phoneline scandal, then the rigged competition on Blue Peter, then we hear that the Christmas Songs of Praise is filmed at Easter and now we've got the Queengate film.

Can we trust this once great corporation or is it rotten to the core?

I don't see how cost cutting can possibly have anything to do with it, apart from maybe the Songs of Praise issue.

Imagine if someone dies between the filming. A bit weird.

Songs of Praise has always been filmed months in advance. I was involved in a Christmas one many years ago and although it wasn't filmed at Easter, it was in the middle of the summer and we all had to wear winter clothes and sing carols.

I think this shows a deep cynicism and disrespect for the viewer.

I would expect a show like Songs of Praise to have a certain integrity, which includes not duping the viewer in to thinking a Christmas special is filmed at Christmas, when it's actually filmed in the summer. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

I agree with bounty. Viewers want to believe the people singing are enjoying Christmastime , not thinking about going home and eating their Easter eggs.

Wasn't there a big fuss a few years back because the 'Valentine's Day' edition of Countdown featured a clearly pregnant Carol Vorderman, even though she'd had her baby in January?

Programmes have always been recorded months in advance. The early evening one on now with Alan Titchmarsh was clearly recorded last summer. It's the same with the antiques programmes. I can't see a problem with it.

You'd see a problem with it if someone you knew died 6 months ago suddenly appears on tv.
