my gf did 'Trisha' and 'Guilty', plus countless magazines. she regrets all the publicity - it got to the point where she couldn't walk down the street without being collared.

 

(the ONLY tv show i've done is 'You've Been Framed' a couple of years ago.)

well, it sems a bit odd to look back and explain. but at the time her then(psychotic) husband was abusively violent and had set a national record for the ammount of affairs he'd had. they both rang 'Trisha', thinking it would be a great topic. (hmmmm.) and the publicity started there. newspapers, magazines, tv interviews... i still can't understand it. for some odd reason the media treated it like some major deal, and all that was really being discussed was what a prick this guy was - it was like he was proud of it or something and wanted the publicity. (and yes, he was a bastard - but why does that make good tv etc.?)

 

i'll never be able to understand what makes people think discussing their problems in public is a good idea.

 

the 'Guilty' episode is still screening from time to time on sky.

That's really interesting.  I know someone who had an argument with her boyfriend and he came home one night and he took a knife and stabbed what he thought was her sleeping on the settee. It was in fact her mother who had come to babysit and fell asleep. He went to prison for 20 years and the girl never got over her mother being murdered and ended up in a psychiatric hospital. She sold her story to a magazine for 500.

I don't understand people who discuss their private lives on tv but maybe it's their only way of dealing with traumas and they think it can help.

all i know is this... if i was a wife-beating, drug-addicted, unemployed alcoholic teenage parent, i'd stay the f**k away from the likes of Trisha and Jeremy Kyle!

I've been watching quite a bit of Jerry Springer on sky lately and it seems now all the women want to strip to their mismatched bra and knickers. Surely if you are thinking you are going to strip you'd wear some matching underwear and not those big baggy off grey pants with the hole in.

When I watch wife swap i usually get upset for one of the women. There's always one that goes from a nice home to an absolute pigsty with a horrible man and badly behaved kids.

 

Anthea Turners Perfect Housewife show is good but I wouldn't go on it and I definitely wouldn't go on that How clean is your house show. They find dust in places I would never dream of looking.

i used to like wicker baskets but after seein anthea harp on about them i wouldn't buy one now
