sorry to change the usual jolly tone of the forum, but i'm in shock and i just had to say something.

i'm sure some of you heard about this today. i gotta say, i'm so shocked about it. i'm a massive wrestling fan, and this guy was my absolute favourite wrestler of all time - and he goes and does something like that. i find it so sad and unbelievable. goes to show you never can tell...

I had never heard of him before your post wjp, but at only 40 and his wife only 43 and with their young son also dead this sounds like a real tragedy.

I never stop wondering what makes people do this to their loved ones. Especially their children.
To be so sad that this is the only way out you can see must be the greatest tragedy of all.

it always amazes me to why people lose the plot and do stuff like this, and it's happened so many times throughout history. it happened when i was living in Wales in 2000 - that was a guy with multiple kids who lived just up the road from the pub i was living/working in. you really can't tell who's capable of these things, which makes it so scary.

A few months ago a woman who lived near here killed her little sons and herself. It was all over the papers.

A couple of years ago across town, a man blew his wife's head off with a shot gun and then shot himself. To all outsiders, they were a devoted couple.

I read about this on Wikipedia. Bizarrely several wrestlers or people connected with the sport have died this week.

Perhaps it is partly desperate saddness and mental instability because of it?

Maybe parents kill their children because they don't want them to have to live in the world alone, without their mummies and daddies?

I don't know.

I do know that although I feel anger towards the people who take the lives of innocents in amongst their suicide efforts, I also feel immense saddness and sorrow for them, and a great deal of confusion that I can have these feelings together.
