OK, would anyone like to bet that Connie will NOT win tonight?

I can see opera man winning.

A bit fixed don't you think? Not really fair as he wasn't really some undiscovered talent was he? If winning Michael Barrymores show in 1999 then spending 20,000 on opera lessons, appearing in 4 concerts in front of 15,000 people and singing with the Royal Philharmonic orchestra wasn't enough to build his confidence as he puts it then what will?

But he's not what you'd call famous, so while he isn't unknown in the strictly literal sense of the word, he is unknown by Royal Variety Show standards. I don't see how it is unfair - do we have to restrict these shows to people who have not so much as sung in a school choir before? Completely undiscovered people are usually undiscovered for a reason!

He would have done better to spend some of his 20,000 getting his manky teeth fixed.

And hadn't they worked hard to change their image?  Apparently they had threatened to lynch the baton twirler if he beat them in the semi-final.

I don't blame them! LOL  What a clever name as well, incorporating what they do and what their objectives are.

Why do all wanna-be opera singers sing Nessu Dorma?  Can't they try something different?

Perhaps an operatic version of 'We're Flying the Flag' by Scooch?

Did you see when he sang Time to say goodbye. I cried buckets but if you remember I did once say I thought it was the saddest song ever.

He has made it to New York already and how quick has Simon Cowell been getting him into the recording studio for his debut album.
