I didn't buy these in Sainsburys yesterday because they looked and sounded foul.

But they had those smarties chewy froots in a crisp shell as mini eggs for sale.

I cannot personally imagine anything worse, something pretending to be chocolate, but isn't.

I'm guessing you mean "Fruity Smarties". They don't have any chocolate
in and I'm not sure they're really trying to pass themselves off as
chocolate. If you look at the packaging they're clearly not chocolate
products though I do agree they were naughty using Smarties to sell
what is essentially their version of Skittles.

fruity smarties were so disppointing... id rather have skittles any day, at least you can taste the rainbow with them. smarties should be chocolatey, its like the law or something. the giant smarties are fab, the white ones are surprisingly delicious, and the originals are just classics. but FRUITY SMARTIES??? its just NOT RIGHT.

i think ive seen the eggs too... theyre not chocolatey at all and so, in my view, shouldnt be spoiling easter with their damn fruityness. imagine some poor kid getting these for easter instead of chocolate mini eggs or something! id be gutted!

I think they actually make a nice change to Skittles though I would rather have Berry or Sour Skittles anyday.

I think the Fruity eggs are meant to be Nestle trying to create a new
niche in the market for fruity Easter products, or something

my friend went on holiday to canada last year and brought me back tropical flavour skittles. they came in a blue packet and were yummeee.

she got jolly ranchers too!!! remember them??? VINTAGE!!!! lol.

Ooh, we had those tropical skittles in a shop near me.

The whole point is smarties are chocolately, and those things arent, mini eggs are a chocolately thing, yet those things arent

I personally was gutted.

Now fruity flavour chocolate smarties I would adore.

i think i can remember some limited edition fruity chocolate smarties that were out many moons ago... years before these chocolate-free skittle wannabes hit the shelves

Fruity smarties just don't have it like skittles do. I have tried those tropical skittles and they are yum, as are the wild berry ones. I have also tried the milkshake skittles. Not as nice but they are still eatable. Half the pack is nice but to eat the whole pack in one go is a bit sicky
