I haven't watched neighbours for years and years. I got dizzy with the amount of moving from house-to-house that went on and i was really annoyed with Daphne for having her first baby after a ten minute labour AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN TAKE HER JEANS OFF!!

LOL Even at the age of nine I spotted something wasn't quite right there.

As you can imagine I've been hearing an awful lot about this - in fact I almost ended up on News 24 the other night discussing it! I think it's a shame it won't be on the Beeb anymore, but I'll still watch.

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

When it first started, I'd just given up work to have my first baby and I used to enjoy switching on at lunchtime to see Mad Max the plumber and his sons, Danny and Shane and his lovely wife Maria.

Poor old Des could never keep a woman and Helen Daniels was always being courted by elderly, handsome con-men. She 'died' about six times but came bouncing back like Michael in the Halloween films.  Her youngest grand-daughter Lucy had three body transplants and her oldest grand-daughter Julie married a man twenty years older than her who managed to lose ten years off his age just by moving to Perth for a few years.

If only we could all live in Erinsburgh!

Oldspice do you remember when Neighbours used to be on at around 10 am before it took on the teatime slot?  I was working at a police station then and they all used to come hammering back to the station with their blue lights on, just to catch up with the latest from Ramsay Street!

I haven't seen Neighbours in about 12 years! I wonder that BBC1 will replace it with.

I am not sure I remember it on at that time. Perhaps there was a regional variation. I remember it at lunchtime but it could have been on at 10am for all my memory is worth these days! I do know my little son used to jig up and down when he heard the theme tune!

It was on twice a day - around 10 am and lunchtime.

Oh no!
The BBC won't be the same without it. It's practically a institution!

Now what am I going to watch so I don't have to watch The Weakest Link?

I hope Channel 5 are nice and put it on at the same time.

Does anyone think this might mean a slow but definite end for Neighbours? Oh I hope not.

Well, quite a few people cannot receive Channel 5 so it might decrease viewing just for that reason.

I remember Neighbours being on at lunchtime when I went home for my school dinner!

Channel 5 killed off Robot Wars and they have ruined the Stongest Man programme. But if they don't actually have control over making Neighbours then they can't ruin it surely? The worst they could do would be to cut it and show it in the wrong timeslot.
