The Bible has been translated into an Australian Aboriginal language for the first time.

The Anglican Church has launched the first entire Bible in Kriol, the most widely-spoken indigenous language in the country.

The task has taken almost 30 years, and involved more than 100 linguists.

I love the Psalms.  Remember:

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight Oh Lord.

That's from the Psalms.

I liked all the early stuff with the Assyrians etc.  They had some brilliant names - Tiglath Pilezer or something like that?

My great grandmother from Suffolk was called Karenhappuch. That was her Christian name. Apparently a daughter of Job.

I love the biblical names Seth, Gideon and of course Ruth (my daughter's name).

It would make those clothing labels expensive. Don't they charge by the letter?
