Buchanan's assorted creams
« on: March 19, 2007, 03:44:43 pm »
Right. I'm not sure if these should go into the new or old section, but since I'd never seen them before they were new to me so I plumped for this one.Smile

I saw them at my local Wilkinson's store and though about buying some.

(It was while I was looking for more info on these that I found this site)

I've looked all over, but though I can find places that sell them I can't find anywhere that will tell me if they might be any good.

I love soft centers and these ones have lime flavour filling in some of them. YUM!

Can anyone help?

Thanks.Big%20smile

oo these are nice. you can get them in alot of places. our local shops sell them but so does tescos.
The lime one is good. actually they all are. The rose one, that looks just like the strawberry tastes kind of soapy as rose flavour usualy does.
Flavours in my bag where:
Lemon
Lime
Starwberry
Rose
Raspberry
Orange

They're worth trying.

Thanks StarSparkle.
I bought some today on my way home and you're right.

They're lovely.

Might have to get some more on Friday, this bag is getting empty very fast. Big%20smile

Was gonna start a new thread, saw the search bar and thought "I wonder" nothing like a bit of dead thread revival  ;D
Well I was in Inverness last week visiting the inlaws and while strolling around Tesco I found these, Now i LOVE a good creme centre, and down here (Sussex) so many things that call themselves creams turn out to be hard crystalised rubbish, but not these. I bought the fruit and the mint ones and they're just great, especially the Rose cream. Do you think I can find anywhere that does them in Hastings though??  >:(

Aww, my local Wilkinsons store doesn't sell them.

But thanks to GimmeTheSoddingChoc I found them on Amazon, and Amazon are willing to deliver them right to my door for a very reasonable fee.  WooHoo ;D

Oh you lucky thing. My Tesco just sells Thornton's and although they're quite expensive they're not great.  :P

I have to agree. I do not know what has happened to Thornton's but, over the past few years, their products have taken a turn for the worse. I suspect they have had to sacrifice quality to survive in the high streets.

I'm of the opinion that the average Joe in the street has no idea what proper chocolate tastes like and instead is addicted to sugary sweetness. Thornton's cater for these people and, from what I've seen, employ them too!
