Quote from: oldspice
Jim Croce wrote and recorded a number of beautiful songs before his early death in a plane crash when he was still in his 20s.
His best known songs include Time in a Bottle, I had to Say I Love You in a Song, Photographs and Memories, Big, Bad LeRoy Brown and I Got A Name.

Thanks for those and the info. Smile

I have heard of Big, Bad Leroy Brown and I will see if I can find any of them on my music download site.

I am so glad there is a rich vein of Jim Croce appreciaters on this web site!
I have a number of his CD. He had a beautiful voice and expressed beautiful emoitions in his songs. His pemature death was, without doubt, a real tradgedy. Most of his success was postumous ... who knows what he could have become given the opporunity.

In light of what happened to him, the saddest line in one of his songs must be:

Photographs and memories

The picture card you sent to me

All that I have are these to remember you

But we sure had a good time when we started way back when

Morning walks and bedroom talks

Oh how I loved you then
Old but spicey!

I reject your reality and substitute my own.
